In the Landgroups editor you can use expandable macros which are set  during parcel setup. The main advantage to this is it allows you to apply parcel specific information to both the parcel name and description dynamically.

The macros can be combined, and used with other text. See below for examples.

List of Expandable Macros
Macro Description Output
%id%
The record # of the parcel, this is automatically placed at the beginning of the description line 55342
%region% The simulator name the parcel is in. Tethys
%REGION% The simulator name the parcel is in, All Uppercase TETHYS
%size% The Size of the parcel 8192
%price% The Total Price of the parcel 59995
%price_sqm%
The Price Per Sq.m of the parcel 7.32
%rating% The Rating of the Simulator, 'M' or 'PG'. PG
%pgname% The Parcel Group Description, (probably won't use this one, I used it during testing)
%fs%
an asterisk '*' if parcel is marked for sale, blank otherwise *
%prims% A total count of the maximum prims parcel supports 117
%calc:...% This is a special macro for doing simple calculations, see Examples using calc below for more details on usage

Examples:
"Nice! %region% %fs% (%rating%) %size% sq.m. For Sale" expanded looks like: "Nice! Tethys * (M) 8192 sq.m For Sale"

"Ocean in %region% (%rating%) %size% sq.m. only L$%price%!" Expanded looks like:  "Ocean in Tethys (M) 8192 sq.m only L$59995!"

"Snowland! Build your own Snowman in %region%" appears as "Snowland! Build your own Snowman in Heaton"

Examples using calc

The %calc% macro takes arguments: %calc:[var1][operator][var2]% where var1 and var2 are numbers with or without a decimal point and operator is one of: *, +, -, /

the %calc% macro will take the result and round it to the nearest full number. ie: %calc:10.12*2.12% would return 21 not 21.45. Additionally you can use other macros for either var1 or var2, this is useful for calculating rental rates, or values based on parcel specific information suchas size or price

"Land for sale! Buy for L$%price% or Rent for L$%calc:%prims%*2.5%/week" appears as Buy for L$5995 or rent for L$4680/week"
