BuffyBot - Protect your public areas from Vampires

Introduction

BuffyBot is a software application which logs into the Second Life Grid and warns, kicks, or bans Bloodlines players which target players with unsolicited bite requests.

The Problem

Bloodlines is a hud based Vampire role play game system played within Second Life. Bloodline players advance by 'biting' other avatars which have not been bitten by another Vampire. The bloodlines economy is designed in such a way that encourages players to harass non players into accepting a bite. This has caused many newbie friendly areas to be inundated with vampires harassing other non bloodlines players. Additional information on bloodlines can be found at their website

Note to Bloodlines players: The BuffyBot will NOT attack you or anyone else, it will only act if you attempt to bite it. The BuffyBot looks like any other avatar, there is nothing to help you to distinguish it from a regular avatar, So the moral of the story is get permission before you attempt to bite someone. If you make sure they understand the game you play its more likely you will benefit and not be considered another newbie soul collecting griefer.

Requirements

• A PC running any version of the Microsoft Windows operating system which also has the .NET framework 3.5 installed
• A PC running Linux which has Mono 1.9 or newer installed.
